Josh Lipton is an Executive Managing Director of Investment Sales at ONE Commercial Realty Services, where he focuses on the evaluation, marketing, and disposition of commercial real estate assets in Upper Manhattan. Geographically, his focus is north of 96th Street with extensive experience in and knowledge of Harlem, Washington Heights and Inwood. Josh also covers 42nd street to 96th Street on the West Side of Manhattan, spanning from Midtown West to the Upper West Side.
Previously, Josh was a Senior Director in the Capital Markets Group of Cushman and Wakefield (formerly Massey Knakal Realty Services), where he focused on investment sales in Upper Manhattan. To date, Josh has sold more than 70 properties for an aggregate value in excess of $500 million.
Prior to beginning a career in commercial real estate, Josh was a Senior Associate at the law firm Latham & Watkins LLP. His legal practice focused on equity capital markets transactions representing both issuers and underwriters in initial and secondary offerings. Additionally, he represented companies in connection with complex, cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Josh also worked in Cambridge, Massachusetts at a commercial property management company, and in Moscow, Russia as a sales manager for a large international transportation company.
Josh graduated Magna Cum Laude from both Boston College Law School and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy where he earned a Juris Doctor and a Master’s Degree. Additionally, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations where he was also a member of the Division 1 Wrestling Team.
